An Interior Ministry spokesman said yesterday that the visitors visas of the self-styled Black Hebrews of Dimona would not be renewed when they expire at the end of this month. He said he hoped that the Blacks, who have been a source of increasing friction in the Negev town, would leave quietly although there are legal means at their disposal to extend their stay. He said if they refused to leave and did not take legal measures to clarify their status, expulsion orders would eventually be issued. The Black Hebrews, mostly from the Chicago area, began coming to Israel about two years ago after an abortive attempt to establish a commune in Liberia.
