The World Zionist Organization is planning a series of “Information Months” in the larger Jewish communities around the world in a major effort to explain Israel’s policy aims to Jews and non-Jews alike. The first “month” will be in France in Oct. Programs planned include: appearances of leading Israelis, films of Israeli and Jewish interest, stepped up dissemination of printed material on Israel, and seminars and lectures for Jewish and Zionist activists and others.

Details of the “Information Month” plans were presented to directors of Israel information centers abroad meeting in Jerusalem last week by Moshe Gilboa, director of information in the WZO’s Organization and Information Department. Gilboa stressed the need for coordination in information work between the WZO the Foreign Ministry and Zionist Organizations abroad. There was no point or purpose in duplicated efforts, he said.
