Israelis, who have a penchant for target practice, have posed a serious problem. A shortage of shooting ranges especially in the Jerusalem district has led some civilians to engage in some wild shooting and thereby endanger lives, Knesseter Eliezer Ronnen reported to the Knesset. He noted that close to 100,000 Israelis are licensed to hold firearms, and demanded that more shooting ranges be set up.
