TEL AVIV (May. 10)
Israel is aiding an unidentified Arab country in the field of agriculture, Israeli Minister of Agriculture Aharon Uzan disclosed in a talk last night to farmers near Natanya. He refused to name the country. According to reliable sources, a senior delegation from that country visited Israel secretly two weeks ago as Uzan’s guest. They toured various agricultural centers in the Minister’s car. He dispensed with his official driver on that occasion, the sources said. They said the visitors were impressed with Israel’s progress in agriculture and agreed to accept Israeli assistance in the field. The nature of the assistance was not disclosed but it was learned that Israel is also helping the Arab country develop an irrigation system.
