Mexico has presented a gift to Israel, a tapestry by the Mexican-Jewish artist Leonardo Nierman, titled “Bible Fire.” The presentation was made by President Jose Lopez Portillo at a farewell reception for Israeli Ambassador Hanan Aynor who completed a three-year tour of duty here. The Ambassador said that the gift would be displayed at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. Aynor’s successor is Shaul Rosolio, former Israeli police chief, who has already arrived in Mexico.
