Foreign Minister Moshe Dayan said today that he was considering the waiver of diplomatic immunity for Israeli diplomats who are ticketed for violating traffic regulations in the United States. Dayan spoke in response to a question in the Knesset by Likud MK Hillel Seidel who said that Israeli diplomats in Washington owed some $82,000 in unpaid fines for traffic and parking violations. Dayan said the diplomats incurred parking tickets because of the shortage of parking space in Washington.
