Alix De Rothschild Dead at 67

Baroness Alix de Rothschild, the former wife of Guy de Rothschild, the head of the banking firm, and herself a patron of Israeli and Jewish art and music, died last week at the age of 67. The Baroness, born Alix Schey de Koromla, helped create the Bathsheva Dance Company and headed several French and international committees which worked for the propagation of art and music. An art collector, she generally spent several months each year in Israel. Her son David is the president of the Fonds Social Juif Unifie, the federation of French Jewish welfare funds.
