Dutch Won’t Sell Subs to Israel

The Dutch government said Tuesday it will not grant export licenses for two submarines Israel wants to order from the RMD Shipyards in Rotterdam.

A Foreign Ministry spokesman said the reason is that Israel is considered a country at war and the Netherlands, in principle, denies military equipment to countries at war.
