Nobody was hurt when an explosive charge went off near Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva Tuesday morning. The explosion, shortly after 9 a.m., was heard over a wide area.
The explosive device had been placed at the bottom of a trash can near a bus stop, which was empty of passengers at the time because of the Purim holiday.
The explosion caused little damage.
A search of the garbage receptacle by police sappers shortly afterward uncovered another bomb, which had failed to explode.
