The U.S. Supreme Court rejected a constitutional challenge to a controversial California law that ends affirmative action programs in the state. The justices, without comment, turned away arguments by a coalition of civil rights groups and let stand a ruling that said Proposition 209 fails to violate anybody’s constitutional rights.
