Mahmoud Abbas and Yasser Arafat reportedly patched over their differences in a meeting on Monday. Abbas, the Palestinian Authority’s prime minster, will maintain authority in discussions with Israel, but will press the issue of Arafat’s confinement in upcoming talks with Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, according to Ha’aretz.
