The Palestinian Authority said it is trying to convince terrorist groups to extend a cease-fire with Israel indefinitely. Hamas and Islamic Jihad have declared a three-month truce, while P.A. President Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement announced a six-month halt to attacks. The announcement by the P.A.’s information minister, Nabil Amr, came as P.A.
