A Breakdown of Nazi-looted Art Held by State in Czech Republic

The following is a breakdown of art stolen by the Nazis that is in state possession in the Czech Republic. Number of objects listed on Culture Ministry Web site, 3,700.

Number of objects returned to heirs of Nazi victims since passage of the Holocaust Act in 2000: 800.

An object, such as a porcelain set, can consist of several items. The total number of items is 6,700.

Number of claims for art made from state-run museums or galleries since the passage of the Holocaust Act: Four or five.

Number of Czech Jews killed in Holocaust: Approximately 80,000.
