The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee-Israel was one of four to receive an Israel Prize for life achievement, special contribution to society and state.Israeli Education Minister Yuli Tamir announced the winners Sunday. The others are: Former Israel Manufacturers Association head Dov Lautman; Kibbutz Geva’s Givatron folk-song ensemble; and religious scholar and feminist Alice Shalvi.
