Rotterdam residents are receiving a book about the persecution of the Dutch city’s Jews during World War II.
On Jan. 27, to mark the 63rd anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, 260,000 copies of the Holocaust novel “Undeliverable” are to be distributed in Rotterdam, enough for every home, its publisher Gerton Van Boom said Wednesday.
“Undeliverable,” by Isaac Lipschits, is about the author’s mother and other Rotterdam Jews who were deported and killed by the Nazis.
“We are trying to bring the memorial into everybody’s homes,” Van Boom said.
Joining in on the book project are the Auschwitz Committee and the Holocaust Memorial foundations.
