Israel’s U.S. ambassador called on Jews to use Yom Kippur to think about how they can help stop Iran from getting the bomb.
“During these days of reflection, as we approach the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, the challenges and dangers we face are as urgent as they have ever been,” Sallai Meridor said in his holiday message. “The writing on the wall from Iran presents each and every one with the question: What more can I do in this coming year to prevent the nightmare of a nuclear Iran from becoming a reality?
“Our hopes and prayers are for a year of peace and well-being for the United States of America and the State of Israel.”
