(JTA) — Israel bombed the house of a senior Hamas official on Friday.

Israeli warplanes hit the home of Mohammed Matouk. The IDF said that Matouk’s home was being used by militants as a weapons storehouse and factory, and that a smuggling tunnel had been dug underneath the building.

The attack was part of a series of raids on 15 houses belonging to Hamas militants. Prior to the attacks, the IDF issued warnings to nearby residents by phone or fired a warning missile in order to reduce civilian casuaties.

The IDF also said that it had hit the house of the former Hamas minister of prisoner affairs, Atef Adwan. No injuries were reported in that attack.
