JERUSALEM (JTA) — Five Palestinians were killed in a smuggling tunnel.
The tunnel, used to smuggle weapons and food into the Gaza Strip from Egypt, collapsed on the men Feb. 21. One victim was found dead in the tunnel on the day of the collapse, while the others were found the following day, according to reports quoting Palestinian medics.
Heavy rain in the area is believed to be responsible for the tunnel’s collapse.
