WASHINGTON (JTA) — An appeal from Christians United for Israel to its membership raised $25,000 in 24 hours for Israeli relief efforts in Haiti.
Most of the money came from individual donors, averaging $40, after the call went out Jan. 21, the organization reported.
By Monday the appeal had raised $40,000.
The funds will be channeled through IsraAID, one of several Israeli clearinghouses for assistance to Hait.
