WASHINGTON (JTA) — Maj. Gen. Amos Yadlin, Israel’s former military intelligence chief, is joining the influential Washington Institute for Near East Policy think tank.
Yadlin, who just retired, will be the Kay Fellow on National Security, the institute announced Wednesday.
The institute, which tilts hard-line and pro-Israel on defense policy, over the years has featured as fellows fresh graduates of senior military service in the United States, Turkey, Iraq and Jordan, as well as Israel.
Past Israeli military chiefs of staff who launched their retirements with stints at the institute include Moshe Yaalon and Shaul Mofaz.
