NEW YORK (JTA) — The Jim Joseph Foundation will give BBYO a grant of nearly $2 million to fund the creation of three new positions.

The $1.9 million grant, to be distributed over three years, was announced Monday. It will be used to recruit senior educators as directors of Jewish enrichment who will work together on local, regional and international programming for teens.

“Research has proven that Israel trips, summer specialty camps and youth groups have a powerful impact on teens, and BBYO is a leader in all three of these areas,” said Al Levitt, chair of the Jim Joseph Foundation board of directors.
