Another possible Paul voter: Rick Santorum

The question of the week for Republican presidential candidates (all courtesy of CNN’s Wolf Blitzer): Would you vote for Ron Paul if he is the party’s nominee?

First Gingrich emphatically said “no,” before hedging when directly posed with the choice between Paul and Obama. Next, Romney emphatically said “yes,” saying that any of the Republican candidates would be better than Obama.

Now the surging Rick Santorum tells CNN that he would “absolutely” vote for Paul over Obama, though he added: “"I’d have to take a lot of antacids when I go into the voting booth and vote for him."

At an Iowa town hall, Santorum said that Paul’s foreign policy stances are ““far to the left of President Obama.”

But in his CNN appearance, Santorum said that on foreign policy: “I think in a second term, Barack Obama would not be markedly different from Ron Paul on a lot of national security issues."
