The Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch was diagnosed with cancer in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his parotid gland. He performed as MCA along with fellow Beasties’ Mike Diamond (“Mike D”) and Adam Horowitz (“Ad-Rock”). Last month the Beastie Boys were inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but he wasn’t able to attend in the ceremony due to his illness.
