(JTA) — French police arrested two men in connection with an attack last year on a Jewish school in Toulouse.
The men, aged 28 and 30, were arrested Tuesday in Toulouse and taken to Paris for questioning, the French news agency AFP reported.
They reportedly were friends of Mohammed Merah, who killed three Jewish children and a rabbi at the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse last March 19. Merah was killed three days later in a police raid on his home. Before attacking the school, he killed three French soldiers.
The arrested men reportedly had been placed under surveillance last weekend. They can be held for up to four days without being charged under France’s anti-terrorism laws.
