About 1,000 Jews, mostly deportees repatriated from Transnistria, will sail from Gonstanza on Oct. 20 for Haifa abcard the S.S. Transylvania, the Bucharest radio said today.
A statement issued here by the Central Committee of Rumanian Democratic Jews denies the allegations contained in an Italian broadcast which charged that the Jews in Rumania were being mistreated. “Rumanian Jews enjoy full equality under the government of Premier Groza,” the broadcast said. It charged that the reports on which the Italian broadcast was based originated with “elements of Jews who cooperated with Antonesou.”
