A capacity audience of 18,000 New Yorkers filled Madison Square Garden last night at the Chanukah Festival for Israel, the major highlight of the 1964 Israel bond campaign in New York City.
The event brought to $12,900,000 the amount of Israel bonds sold in the metropolitan area since the beginning of the year, it was reported by William Goldfine, campaign chairman of the Greater New York Committee for State of Israel Bonds. The second and third performances of the Chanukah Festival will be held on December 17 and January 4 at Madison Square Garden.
