The West German Government’s Office for the Protection of the Constitution today reported the existence in this country of 20 secret neo-Nazi organizations.
The existence of similar non-German organizations in this country were highlighted at a press conference today by Zachariah Schuster, European director of the American Jewish Committee, who revealed that there were at least a dozen anti-Jewish and anti-democratic groups of East European refugees operating in West Germany. Mr. Schuster said that these organizations were spreading Nazi-like ideas among fellow emigres, among the Germans and even to the United States and Britain.
He revealed that the AJC was studying the international ramifications of these groups in Europe, the United States and South America. He called it “inconceivable” that such organizations should be allowed to use West Germany as a platform for the dissemination of Jew-baiting and anti-democratic propaganda.
