Five Arabs were killed today in a five-hour battle near the Jewish colony of Tel Amal between a terrorist band and police, members of the Transjordan Frontier Force and Royal Air Force Planes, which bombed the band from the air. The battle began with an attack on the colony.
Other attacks were reported at Mishmar Haemek and at Beisan, where a large Arab band attacked the police station, killing a policeman. The town was fined $2,500 after police dogs followed the attackers’ trail to two houses.
a lot (Polish) commercial airplane was fired upon at Lydda airport. Little damage was caused. The plane’s departure was slightly delayed.
