A United States military court today sentenced 58 officials of the notorious Mauthausen concentration camp to death. Three other defendants received life sentences.
The 61 prisoners were found guilty of torturing and murdering hundreds of thousands of persons, including many Jews, at the Austrian death camp. Their trial lasted 36 days.
