A sum of eighty thousand dollars in cash has already been raised since the opening of this year’s “Geverkshaften” campaign for the organized Jewish workers and Halutzim of Palestine. This is ten thousand dollars more than was raised in the same period last year, according to the report rendered yesterday by I. Hamlin, national secretary of the “Geverkshaften” campaign, at the sessions of the National Executive Committee in the Pennsylvania Hotel.
Mr. Hamlin also reported that in many cities of the United States the campaign for the Jewish workers of Palestine has either just begun or is about to begin. A “Flower Day” for the benefit of the “Geverkshaften Fund” will take place throughout the country on May 3 and 4.
