Nine hundred college scholarships have been provided for Jewish youths in this city by the Jewish Child Care Association since the inception of its program in 1891, it was announced here today.
In outlining the organization’s scholarship program, Louis Strauss, a vicepresident of the agency and head of its scholarship committee, asserted that $11,000 in scholarship funds is provided annually. Grants provide tuition and maintenance, Mr. Strauss explained, with the sutdents supplementing this income with part-time employment.
