A Berlin court rejected a multimillion-dollar lawsuit filed against Germany by Slovakia’s Central Union of Jewish Religious Communities. The Jewish group was seeking to reclaim money the wartime Slovak government paid Nazi Germany to deport more than 57,000 Jews to concentration camps. According to the Czech News Agency, the court did not think the Central Union had a legitimate right to seek compensation.
