A commission investigating Holocaust-era assets in Swiss banks held an emergency meeting to resolve a dispute over the accounts. During Monday’s meeting at Zurich Airport, Jewish officials claimed there are some 44,000 such accounts, while Swiss banking officials put the total at 3,000. The dispute was not settled and the parties agreed to meet again next week in New York.
