A delegation of trade union leaders from Northern Ireland visited the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles and announced plans to create a similar institution reflecting their own history in Belfast. The Belfast Museum of Tolerance would serve as a symbol of peace in a land riven for decades by sectarian violence between Protestants and Catholics, said Brian Campfield, president of the Belfast Trades Union Council.
