A Palestinian terrorist chief survived an Israeli airstrike. Jamal Abu Samhadana, head of the terrorist umbrella group known as the Popular Resistance Committees, was wounded Thursday in a missile strike on his car outside the Gaza Strip town of Rafah. Four other Palestinians also were hurt. Israeli officials did not immediately comment on the apparent assassination attempt. Overnight, Israeli forces shot dead four Palestinians trying to smuggle arms over the Egyptian border near Rafah.
