A society named “Lemaan Haifa” has been organized for the purpose of developing the city of Haifa and the territory of Carmel. The organizers of the society intend to build hotels, sanitariums and garden cities on Mount Carmel, and means of communication in that region, as well as develop the cities industrially.
The following are the directors of the new company: Dr. Klumel of Warsaw, Chairman, Ab. Goldberg of New York, Vice Chairman, Prives of Warsaw, Treasurer, Dr. Gottlieb of Warsaw, General Secretary, Haber of New York, Kirshbaum of Warsaw, Kahn of Kovno and Bernstein of Palestine.
The society has already acquired a thousand plots, from an American Palestine Real Estate agency, in Haifa and its vicinity.
