A veteran pro-Palestinian activist in Norway reportedly has come out as a former Israeli spy. In what appears to be part of a publicity campaign for a new book on Middle East politics, Norwegian media alleged that Karin Linstad served as a Mossad agent while working for Palestinians in Lebanon before Israel’s 1982 invasion of Lebanon. A founding members of the Norwegian Palestine Committee, Linstad countered the reports by giving an interview in which she hinted that she had been a double agent. “My starting point and my loyalty has always been with the Palestinian side,” she told The Associated Press. Israeli officials had no comment.
