The Wisconsin Regional Advisory Board of the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith urged the Milwaukee City Council today to adopt a fair housing law without holding a referendum of the subject. The Anti-Defamation League expressed its opposition to any referendum on the grounds that "the equal right to housing is a fundamental right of all citizens not to be denied or withheld by any temporary majority of voters created out of momentary fear or irrational passion."
