Organized labor, represented by the annual convention of the American Federation of Labor, stood ready today to continue the boycott of German goods “until we bring home the people of that country the realization of the policy we pursue.”
Assailing dictatorships, William Green, A.F.L. president, protested against the persecution of the Jews in Germany, voicing indignation against the attacks on a race which had committed no wrong and which “had made its contribution toward freedom and the spiritual welfare of the world.”
“Today the American Federation of Labor protests against this autocrat in Germany who persecutes a noble race in that land,” he shouted “I say that we will carry on our boycott against German goods until we bring home to the people of that country the realization of the policy we pursue,” he said.
