Sir John Chancellor, the new High Commissioner of Palestine, received a delegation of the Agudath Israel, Orthodox world organization, here yesterday. The delegation congratulated the new High Commissioner on his appointment and expressed the hope that he will have a successful term of office.
Equality of the Agudath Israel, as the representative of the Orthodox Jewish communities, with the Vaad Leumi, National Council of Palestine Jews, was asked by the delegation, under the Palestine Communities Ordinance. The members of the delegation also voiced their indignation at the incidents at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
