Warrants against two Mattapan meat dealers were sent yesterday by Rabbi Abraham Rose of Lucerne street, Roxbury, because it is alleged that each sold non-kosher meat Saturday, violating the law.
A number of other kosher meat dealers entered complaints to the police several days ago to the effect that the law was being violated. Patrolman Edward F. Kelley was assigned to investigate the complaints.
The Sunday law of Boston and vicinity allows the sale of kosher meat between the hours of six and ten o’clock in the morning.
Accompanied by Rabbi Rose and Miss Rose Stillman of Harvard street, Dorchester, Patrolman Kelley made the rounds of the shops.
