The American branch of the Jewish Agency met today to discuss the Palestine issue in relation to the U.N. General Assembly. The meeting was under the chairmanship of Dr. Abba Hillel Silver.
The group discussed various aspects of the report of the U.N. Special Committee on Palestine. A sub-committee, consisting of Moshe Shertok and Dr. Emanuol Neumann, was appointed to plan the section’s day-to-day activities in connection with the U.N. session. It was also decided to confer with non-Zionist Jewish bodies in the United States in an attempt to achieve a united front before the U.N.
