The Ford Motor Company has been named recipient of the annual award of merit of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nathan Straus III, chairman of the Chamber, announced here today.
Presentation of the award will be made at the annual dinner of the Chamber on May 25 in New York. Donald N. Frey, vice president of Ford Motor Company and general manager of the Ford Division, will accept the award on behalf of the company.
The decision to present this year’s award to Ford, Mr. Straus said, was prompted by the fact that the company was marking this year the 30th anniversary of its activities in Israel. He noted that "much of Israel’s road transportation progress has thus been connected with Ford Motor Company."
