Four American Socialist groups have addressed an appeal to several Socialist parties overseas and to the International Socialist Consultative Committee in London calling for the immediate dissolution of DP camps in Europe and the admission of their inmates to all democratic countries.
The Socialists pointed out that although the appeal is not restricted to Jewish DP’s alone, they suffered most from Nazi atrocities and should be cared for immediately. The appeal requests that the question be placed on the agenda of the next International Socialist Conference which is to be held in Switzerland this spring. The groups signing the appeal are the Socialist Party, U.S.A.; Social Democratic Federation, U.S.A.; Jewish Socialist Verband; and Jewish Labor Bund Organization of New York.
