Amid reports that a significant number of Israeli voters plan to cast blank ballots as a protest vote in the Feb. 6 election for prime minister, the head of the Central Election Board said such ballots would not be included in the overall tally. Under Israeli law, the candidate who wins more than 50 percent of the valid votes will be declared winner.
