An unprecedented crowd of 8, 000 people jammed into the West Melborne Stadium yesterday to hear Moshe Sharett, former Premier of Israel, address a rally marking Israel’s ninth Independence Day. Mr. Sharett who arrived here this week-end for a three-week visit, was cheered wildly. Another Independence Rally, held here, heard Israel’s Minister to Australia, Max Nurock.
