A Foreign Office spokesman told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today that the Anglo-French talks on migration, which are scheduled to begin here on May 12, will be merely an exchange of views between experts.
The agenda will include the question of the seaworthiness of ships bearing immigrants, and the authenticity of passports. The talks will not be confined to the movements of Jews, but of foreigners generally. Apparently the French are endeavoring to confine the talks to technical discussions, despite British pressure.
