Nazi propagandists speak frequently about Jewish eorruption and Jewish financial scandals; they mention the cases of Barmat, Kutisker, Sklarek and Katzenellenbogen.

It is true that there were some bad scandals, it is also true that Barmat, Kutisker, Sklarek and Katzenellenogen are Jews, but it is not less true that their accomplices were mostly non-Jews and even confirmed anti-Semites, as Herr Bruhn, editor of an anti-Semitic weekly paper. The bank director Reinhart was implicated in the Schultheiss-Patzenhofer scandal together with Katzen ellenbogen; Reinhart is not only “Aryan,” he is a Nationalis and is now a member of the ecoomic advisory cmmittee of the Hitler Government. Why do the Nazi propagandists not mention his name?

And why do they speak only about the Barmat, Kutisker and Sklarek scandals? Why do they not speak about the scandals of Favag, Raiffeisen, Devaheim and Lahusen?

The Raiffeisenbank was the bank for agricultural cooperative societies. The members were mostly small peasants, the directors “A ryan” Nationalists. In 1930 they ruined the bank by lending enormous sums to a Russian adventure, an alleged Tsarist officer. Sixty raillon marks of German peasants’ savings were lost.

The Favag was one of the most important insurance companies. Misappropriation of runds by the directors, none of whom were Jews, brought about its ruin.

The Devahim was a union for land settlement, founded and managed by Protestant clergymen. No Jew whatever had anything to do with this enterprise. Through fraud and embezzlement by the dirctors the small middle class men and momen who invested their savings in the Devaheim were robbed of their property.

The worst scandal of all, worse than the Barmat, Kutisker and Sklarek scandals to gether, was the Lahusen scandal, the fraudulent bankruptey of the Nordwolle Trust. Two hundred and seventy millions were lost through fraudulent transactions. The directors Lahusen were intimate friends of the Nazis, and Karl Lahusen confessed before the court that a part of the lost money flowed into the treasury of the Nazi party. Why do the Nazis not mention this scandal.?
