An anti-Jewish group, the French Liberation Front, has claimed responsibility for the bombing last Saturday of the Pompidou Modern Art Center here “to protest the Jewish dictatorship which is disfiguring France.” The explosion broke windows and twisted girders of the futuristic building which has become a top tourist attraction since it opened three years ago. Some of the architects who planned the center, the largest of its type in Western Europe, were Jewish. Police have no clue as to the identity of the bombers but believe the organization has less than a dozen members.
