The formal dissolution of the anti-Zionist Jewish Fellowship organization was announced today following a special meeting of the group. The decision was taken as a result of recognition by the group that the Jewish state exists “de facto.”
Today’s announcement said the Fellowship supports the recent statement of the Angle-Jewish Association which voiced the hope that the proclamation of Israeli state-heed will lead to the building up of a society which will be a true reflection of Jewish ideals and a source of pride to Jews throughout the world.
The Fellowship also affirmed that “British Jews are and will remain undivided in their loyalty and allegiance to Britain.” The Jewish Fellowship was established in 1942. Sir Brunel Cohen served as president and Basil Henriques as chairman.
